Team Genco Energy participated in their third Tranz-Alpine Scooter Safari on 18th May 2024, to raise money for the New Zealand Cancer Society.

Over 300 entrants rode 50cc city scooters 250km from Christchurch to Hokitika across the mighty Southern Alps in freezing cold and rain conditions.

This year a total of $409,000 was raised with the combined grand total raised since the inaugural Safari in 2009 now exceeding $2.2 Million.

This year Genco Energy even made it onto the front page of the Christchurch newspaper.
